SERVE

You belong here.

Volunteering your time and investing in ministry is the best way to turn a church into a home. We invite you to be part of what God is doing at Heritage in a meaningful way. Complete the application below to find out how you can serve.

How can I serve?

We are all gifted with different skills and passions. Read over the following serving opportunities to see which ones might be a good fit for you.

Frontline Ministries

The goal of Frontline Ministries is to make every person feel welcomed and valued when they walk through the doors on a Sunday morning. You can volunteer to be a greeter, a friendly face at the Welcome Desk, or help follow up with first-time guests.

Heritage Kids

You can never have too many volunteers when it comes to children's ministry. We have opportunities to teach or assist with classes for little ones in the nursery all the way up to classes for 4th-6th grade. Volunteers are needed on Sunday mornings and for our Wednesday night programs.

Worship Team

For those who are musically inclined, consider serving on our Worship Team. Our services offer two different styles of music, traditional and contemporary, and we have a different team for each. The worship team is led by Pastor Jason Redick.

Heritage Student Ministries

The teenage years are such a formative time of life. We are passionate about sharing the gospel and discipling our students, so they have a firm foundation as they enter adulthood. Our volunteers lead small group discussions, participate in youth services and events, and most importantly, build authentic relationships with the students at Heritage.

Upward Basketball & Cheerleading

Upward Basketball & Cheerleading takes place from January-March each year. There are lots of ways to get involved from coaching a team, reffing games, running the score table, helping in the concession stand, sweeping the court, to helping with pre-season evaluations.

Vacation Bible
School

Each summer, Heritage invites the children of our community to a week of Vacation Bible School, and boy, it's a blast! Kids get to sing, play, craft, and eat all while hearing the gospel of Jesus! It truly takes an army of volunteers to pull off this event, and there is an abundance of opportunities to get involved.

Audio/Visual Team

Our A/V Team plays a huge part in making our worship services run smoothly. We take care of things like displaying live worship lyrics, adjusting sound quality and volume, and sanctuary lighting.

Maintenance Team

We strive to maintain our building and keep our facilities in excellent condition. Let us know if you're interested in helping us do so. From fixing a leak to completing full-out remodel projects, there's always a new venture going on.

Security Team

Security is of utmost importance. We have a team of qualified individuals who are tasked with monitoring security cameras, walking the building, and keeping an eye on the parking lot. They are trained to intervene in the event of a safety threat or medical emergency.

Media Team

Do you enjoy taking pictures or helping to make content for promotional materials and social media? Then this is the team for you. From photos during the service to video content for social media and video announcements, this team does a little bit of everything. Laurissa McClure heads up this ministry.
