Heritage Kids – Mission Statement
The goal of the Heritage Kids Ministry is to come alongside parents in building an UNSHAKEABLE and lasting FOUNDATION in Christ for their children. As we partner to teach children the true and living Word of God they will be transformed by Christ’s love, grow daily in a close, personal relationship with Him, and constantly seeking His will for their lives.
Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Matthew 7:25 – “and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.”
Psalm 62:6 – “He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.”
Mathew 16:18b – “…and on this rock I will build My church…”
In order to accomplish this mission, our staff, ministry leaders, and helpers will:
• Aim to equip, support and encourage parents.
• Pray and intercede for children and families.
• Follow and instill our God-Centered curricula.
• Teach for response (Salvation & commitment), aiming for God-loving and God-fearing hearts and lives.
• Model God’s truths and character
Heritage Baptist Church has a heart for children. Many times over, the bible records Jesus Christ’s love and tenderness toward children. We at Heritage strive to offer various programs and activities geared to provide those from nursery through sixth grade an opportunity to realize God’s unconditional love for them, to recognize their need for a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, and to also grow and mature in their daily spiritual walk with Him.
Heritage Kids offers weekly bible lessons during Bible study; a Wednesday evening curriculum, AWANA, during the school year; Vacation Bible School and a children’s church camp each summer; a Christmas musical program; along with a host of other activities throughout the year.

Nursery/Toddlers – Pebbles
For babies and toddlers up to 5 years old – Available 9:00 am until end of 2nd service.
Wednesday Evening
Awana – 6:30-8:00 (During School Year)
SUNDAY CURRICULUM
As parents, ministry leaders, ministry helpers and church staff work together to build a firm foundation for each child in the Heritage Kids Ministry, the curriculum we utilize will play a vital role. Heritage Kids Ministry will be utilizing the Gospel Project Curriculum as we move forward in building this foundation. All levels of our children’s and student ministries will use the same curriculum in order to provide parents the opportunity to reinforce lessons and discussion topics throughout the week, regardless of grade levels of their children. All children will cover the same topics (in an age specific format) each week as the Gospel project takes us through the bible from Genesis to Revelation. We will place heavy emphasis on the fact that the entire bible, whether the Old Testament or New, points to our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is all about Him and we want our children and students to use this truth as the building blocks for all future belief principles. Our FOUNDATION is built on HIM.
